What is a gateway?
Most online merchant facilities require the use of a Payment Gateway company to actually process your transaction.
The gateway is the middleman between your payment processing program (this application), and the bank you deal with.
Normally a payment gateway will charge a transaction fee in the range of 20c to 50c per transaction on top of your bank's percentage fee
Instapay has been designed to work with any payment gateway. If your gateway is not listed, please contact us and we will work with your gateway to ensure they are supported.
In certain situations (such as Paypal), the gateway and the merchant facility are the same person. In these situations, you may still be charged both a percentage and transaction fee, however you are dealing with the one company who acts as both merchant facility provider and gateway.
